Both Recessed Wall Boxes Designed to Simplify, Declutter Installations, and Reduce Display Profiles
June 11, 2024, Anaheim, CA — rp Visual Solutions, RPV, a leader in custom architectural structures for visual displays, announced today that its popular Wallmate back-box design led to development of similar in-wall boxes to support PTZ camera and aid installation and coordination. The boxes are designed to be recessed into the wall, helping to reduce overall display profiles.
The Wallmate Camera Box (view Spec Sheet) is available in two models to hold single or dual PTZ cameras placed around Wallmate-mounted displays. The recessed box design reduces the amount the cameras protrude into the room creating a space for the camera above the mounting plate, and accommodation space below the plate out of site. A single piece bezel contributes to the clean look of the installation. To allow further blending into the aesthetic, the Camera Box is available in black or white powder coat, or in a primer finish for on-site painting. The camera boxes can be installed during construction with a bottom knock-out to accommodate single gang box and cover plate. Separate camera mounting plates enable cameras to be installed after site clean and enabled easy upgrades to new models in the future. The above plate space for the camera is 9.35”H x 9.35” W x 7.8” D. Inside the wall below the camera mount plate there is a space of 9.5” x 3.5” x 2.8” to accommodate cabling and transmitters. “Wallmate display mounts were designed to solve the challenges associated with flat panel display design coordination, installation, and servicing,” said James Fife, rp Visual Solutions Consultant Extension and the originator of Wallmate solutions. “We are bringing the same solution-based approach to two common mounting issues after the display. The new Camera box and the Behind Display continue making on site coordination and design easier.”
The Behind Display box (view Spec Sheet) can be used in conjunction with Wallmate on wall or with custom mounts, installed behind a display to help coordinate standard electrical boxes in walls. The design enables custom mounting structures such as SLIM LED, or single panel mounts to have enough space to accommodate cable and connection entries due to very low-profile mounting systems. Smartly, the Wall Box is colored bright blue, so it is easily identifiable and locatable behind flat panels and arrays.
Like all Wallmate mounts, the new Camera and Behind Display box are built entirely of steel to be structurally robust and provide long term reliability.
