CEDAR RAPIDS, IOWA – August 4, 2006 – The National Systems Contractors Association (NSCA), a leading not-for-profit association supporting the commercial electronic systems industry, has named Brad Nelson 2006 Instructor of the Year for their NSCA University – College of Project Management. Nelson was selected based on student evaluations of his course titled “BizSkills for Project Managers,” which was presented at the 2006 NSCA Expo.
“Brad earning this honor is terrific. He has done so much for the NSCA University and this is just an example of the type of educator Brad is. He may have missed his calling not being a full-time instructor, but that is our gain” said NSCA Executive Director Chuck Wilson.
Nelson is president of Sound Solutions Northwest Inc., an audio/video contracting and acoustic consulting company based in Kennewick, Wash. He has taught a variety of technical and business seminars for the NSCA, and was involved in the development and presentation of the NSCA BizSkills curriculum. His work has been published in various industry periodicals. He is the editor of the newly-revised Audio Systems Technology series of books. Nelson was elected to the NSCA Board of Directors in 2005. He is the Chairman of the NSCA Education Committee, on which he has served since 2003.
