Chris Foreman Named Instructor of the Year for NSCA University

CEDAR RAPIDS, IOWA – August 4, 2006 – The National Systems Contractors Association (NSCA), a leading not-for-profit association supporting the commercial electronic systems industry, has named Chris Foreman 2006 Instructor of the Year for their NSCA University – College of Technical Knowledge. Foreman was selected based on student evaluations of his course titled “Basic Audio for Non-Audio Professionals,” which was presented at the 2006 NSCA Expo.

 

“Chris is a terrific instructor.  He has the patience to spend time with each student and has shown that he prepares well.  It’s people like Chris that makes NSCA education what it is today”.  Executive Director Chuck Wilson.

 

Foreman is a systems contractor with Electronic Contracting Company, located in Lincoln Neb. – with offices in Kansas City, Mo; Wichita, Kan.; and Council Bluffs, Iowa. Among his career mileposts, Foreman has worked for four pro audio manufacturers, three systems contractors, and a tour and sound company. He is the former editor of Sound and Communications magazine, and has given numerous lectures for the NSCA. He authored the “Sound System Design,” chapter of the “Handbook for Sound Engineers,” published by H.W. Sams and writes a monthly column, “On Business Strategy” for Systems Contractor News.

 

The NSCA College of Technical Knowledge is one of six colleges in the NSCA University offering educational training for audio and video systems contractors/integrators, product manufacturers, consultants, sales representatives, architects, and specifying engineers. Other colleges feature courses for Systems Sales, System Design, Project Management, Business, and Allied Professionals. Participants in NSCA University programs can work toward a Certificate of Completion, which is awarded after attaining 24 Learning Units (LUs) within a college.
