Free CSI MasterFormat™ ’04 Training for Design Consultants to be offered in Dallas

Cedar Rapids, IA, January 23, 2007 – NSCA and Atlas Sound, along with Highway Marketing will be offering free CSI MasterFormat™ ’04 training on February 27, 2007 in Dallas, TX. The training will be held from 10am-2pm at the Adam’s Mark Hotel.

Chuck Wilson, Executive Director of the NSCA, will kick off the session with, “Painting the Picture – How is MasterFormat ’04 Impacting Our Industry?” Dennis Hall, founder and managing principal of Hall Architects, Inc. will then present, “Become Compliant, Not Complacent with MasterFormat ‘04” detailing the importance of MasterFormat changes to design consultants.

The new MasterFormat expanded from 16 divisions to 49, including the designation of three divisions that pertain to low-voltage sub-systems within a building. “The significance of these organizational changes affects everyone involved with design-build and bid work,” said Chuck Wilson. Design consultants involved with writing specifications must understand not only how to categorize a system and its components but also how everything interacts and works together.

“We believe training on the topic of MasterFormat ’04 is invaluable to design consultants, which specifically affects the work they do with manufacturers,” stated Steve Young, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Atlas Sound.

A free lunch will be provided. Attendees are also invited to attend the Electrograph “DTE” (Display Technology Experience) at the Adam’s Mark on this same day. For details about the DTE, visit: http://www.electrographdte.com. The DTE event is also free.

Design consultants interested in attending these programs can register by sending an email to Lauralie DeWulf, NSCA Manager of Education Programs at ldewulf@nsca.org.
